Painting a body corporate building

A body corporate repaint is a house repaint multiplied, with a committee in the middle. The quote goes to the committee or the body corporate manager, the colour scheme is agreed once for every unit, and residents need dates for each block. Access is planned around parked cars, balconies and bins, and taller blocks may need scaffolding.

Older blocks need the same checks as older houses. Paint on buildings from the 1980s or earlier is presumed to contain lead, and fibre-cement cladding, soffits and textured coatings on buildings from before 2000 may contain asbestos.
